Bio
Derrick is a Nashville, Tennessee native. He graduated from The University of Tennessee-Knoxville (’10) and Nashville School of Law (’18). After graduating from The University of Tennessee-Knoxville, Derrick was the general manager and part owner of Westside Rental and Sales LLC, a construction equipment rental and sales company with locations in West Nashville and Lebanon. While running the daily operations of the company, he obtained his law degree at Nashville School of Law.
Derrick brings private-owned business and real estate knowledge to create a personal experience with his clients. He particularly understands the everyday issues and headaches of owning a personal business. He also knows the hurdles this can create with family dynamics, employees, and succession planning. He chose to practice Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Business, and Real Estate Law because of this experience and how these fields constantly intertwine.
Derrick also understands the importance of protecting the most valuable asset in life, family. He lives in Nashville with his wife, Katie, and their children, Scarlett and Oliver. Derrick is an avid fan of the Tennessee Volunteers, Tennessee Titans, and Nashville Predators.
